Uses of RTV waterproofing sealant Silicone
Adhesive Mirror to wall bonding
Adhesive mirror glue is specially designed to bond mirrors securely to various surfaces, such as walls, wood, metal, and tiles. Unlike regular adhesives, mirror adhesives are formulated to be strong, flexible, and non-corrosive to prevent damage to the mirror’s backing.
Clean room silicone sealant
Clean room silicone is commonly used for sealing clean room walls, floors, and ceilings, as well as for sealing around doors and windows. Clean room caulking is another product that is commonly used in clean rooms. Caulking is a type of sealant that is applied to joints and gaps between surfaces to prevent air and moisture from entering or escaping. Clean room caulking is specially formulated to meet the stringent requirements of clean room environments, such as being low in VOCs and emitting minimal odours.

HOW TO USE Supex RTV waterproofing Silicone sealer
Supex Neutral sealant silicone RTV is supplied ready-to-use. Under pressure it flows readily from its container. The paste-like consistency makes it easy to work; a spatula or wooden paddle can be used for tooling the surface. The cure progresses inward from the surface. At conditions of at least 72°F (22°C) and 50 percent relative humidity, the
sealant forms a tack-free skin in 30 minutes. Tooling is not practical after this skin forming begins and should be completed within 5-10 minutes of application, even though this may require alternate periods of applying and tooling. Likewise, if masking tape has been used to mark off an area, it should be removed before the skin forms.

Reasons to use neutral cure silicone sealants
One of the primary advantages of neutral cure waterproof silicone sealant is that it is not affected by exposure to moisture during the curing process. This makes it ideal for use in areas where moisture is present, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas where water is used. Neutral cure silicone also has excellent adhesion properties, which means that it can be used on a wide range of surfaces, including metals, plastics, and ceramics.
Neutral cure silicone sealant is commonly used for sealing gaps and joints in a wide range of applications, including in construction, automotive, and industrial settings. It is also suitable for use in marine and aerospace environments due to its resistance to UV light and harsh weather conditions.
One of the key features of neutral cure silicone is that it is non-corrosive, which means that it will not damage metals or other materials over time. This makes it an ideal choice for use in areas where metal surfaces are present, such as around doors and windows, where other types of silicone sealants may cause corrosion over time.
Another advantage of neutral cure silicone is that it has a longer shelf life than other types of silicone sealants. This means that tradespeople can keep it in their toolkit for longer periods without worrying about it going bad. Additionally, neutral cure silicone is less likely to crack or shrink over time, which can be an issue with other types of silicone sealants.
When shopping for neutral cure silicone sealant, there are several factors to consider. One important consideration is the temperature range that the sealant can withstand. Different types of neutral cure silicone have different temperature ranges, so it is essential to choose a product that is suitable for the application at hand.
Another consideration is the level of flexibility that the sealant provides. Some neutral cure silicone sealants are designed to be more flexible than others, which is important in applications where movement is expected, such as in areas where two different materials meet.
It is also important to consider the curing time of the sealant. While neutral cure silicone generally cures faster than other types of silicone sealants, some products may take longer to cure than others. This can be an issue in applications where time is of the essence, such as in construction or manufacturing environments.
When selecting a neutral cure silicone sealant, it is important to choose a product from a reputable manufacturer. This will help to ensure that the product meets the necessary quality standards and has been tested for suitability in the application at hand.
