1. Surface Preparation
Ensure the substrate surface is clean, dry, and free from rust, dust, oil, or any contaminants. Proper cleaning improves adhesion and overall bonding performance.
2. Application
Apply Supex 4005 silicone glue directly onto the prepared surface. Dispense an even bead along the bonding area.
3. Curing Process
Supex 4005 cures from the surface inward.
At 25°C and 55% relative humidity, the adhesive cures to a depth of approximately 2–4 mm in 24 hours.
Curing continues deeper over time and may take longer in low-humidity environments, especially for thick or large bonding areas.
• Humidity is required for curing. Large bonding areas or low ambient humidity may slow the curing process.
• After use, immediately seal the container to prevent premature curing. If a thin cured layer forms at the nozzle, remove it before the next use—this does not affect product performance.
• Avoid skin, eye, and clothing contact.
– If contact occurs, wash skin with soapy water.
– If it enters the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
• When using a dispensing needle, immerse the needle in silicone oil during breaks to prevent curing and clogging. Remove any cured residue before resuming work.
