Why PU foam spray door sealant is required?
Window and door frames are made of materials such as wood, aluminium, steel and UPVC. Traditional window and doorframes are installed by using frame anchors and gaps filled with white cement/ putty. This method
- Is time consuming and requires craftsmanship.
- Cement/ Putty tend to crack over time due expansion/ contraction cycle of construction joints
- poor aesthetics
- Entire load is shared by the anchor fasteners, due to excessive stress at few points stress failure may lead to door frame failure.
- Installation is unrelaible and cost is also high.

FAQs: Installing Doors with Polyurethane Foam Sealant
Must I moisten surfaces before applying? Yes—lightly spray water. It helps the foam cure faster, improves adhesion, creates better cell structure, and enhances insulation quality.
What if I don’t shake the can well? Shaking mixes the chemicals properly. Poor shaking leads to coarse foam, lower yield, and weak performance.
Do I reshake during use? Yes, shake occasionally, especially after pauses, to keep the mixture uniform.
Can I leave a half-used can on the gun? Yes—it’s recommended. Tighten the gun’s safety screw for safe storage.
What’s the cleaner for? It cleans the gun and nozzle effectively. Avoid substitutes to prevent damage.
How strong is the bond? Very strong—windows/doors can’t be forced out but can be removed by cutting the foam.
Does foam exert pressure? Yes—fill gaps only one-third full to avoid distortion.
Excess foam? Cut cured excess with a knife.
