Silicone potting compound is a high-performance protective material used to encapsulate and insulate electronic components. Known for its waterproofing, heat resistance, and electrical insulation properties, it provides long-lasting protection for sensitive parts such as PCBs, LEDs, sensors, and automotive electronics. Unlike other potting materials, silicone compounds remain flexible, durable, and resistant to extreme temperatures, making them ideal for both industrial and consumer electronics.
Whether you need moisture protection, vibration resistance, or thermal stability, silicone potting compound ensures reliable performance in demanding environments.
Key Benefits of Silicone Potting Compound
- Waterproofing & moisture protection
- Electrical insulation
- Thermal stability (high & low temperature performance)
- Vibration and shock resistance
- UV and weather resistance
Long-term durability & low maintenance
High temperature resistance flowable potting silicone sealant
Flowable, 1-part potting Silicone sealer sealant and encapsulant, cures at room temperature to form a tough rubber seal with high temperature resistance.
It is a flowable, smooth, 1-part RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) oxime silicone paste sealant that cures at room temperature on exposure to moisture in the air to form a tough, flexible, waterproof, oil-resistant silicone rubber bond. It resists temperatures up to 320°C for 1 hour, making it well suited for sealing applications with high temperature. Supex Electronics silicone sealant resists aging, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking.

How to use flowable silicone sealer Supex 569FL
- For best performance bonding surfaces should be clean and free from dust, oil, foreign particles.
- Full performance properties will develop over 24 hrs.
- Moisture curing begins immediately after the product is exposed to the atmosphere, therefore parts to be assembled should be mated within a few minutes after the silicone sealer is dispensed.
- Excess material can be easily wiped away with non-polar agent.
- Excess cured material can be removed with a knife or single edge razor blade.
What is the process of silicone potting?
Silicone sealer potting and sealing of electronics is a process of encapsulating electronic components in a protective coating. This process is used to protect components from dust, moisture, vibration, and other environmental factors that could compromise the integrity of the product.
