Supex M1157 Structural MMA Adhesive
SUPEX M1157 is a two-component structural methacrylate adhesive, designed for the high-strength bonding of metal and composite applications. SUPEX M1157 has been formulated using innovative technology, including our revolutionary adhesion system.
This unique system enables the SUPEX M1157 to achieve the optimal balance of mechanical strength and high impact resistance, whilst remaining both simple and quick to use.

Instructions for Use
- Always consult the MSDS before using SUPEX M1157 for the first time.
- Carry out surface preparation where required.*
- Remove the cap and attach the mixer nozzle.
- Dispense sufficient adhesive to ensure equal mixing.
- Apply adhesive to one surface and assemble components carefully, clamping if required.
- It is always easier to remove any excess adhesive before curing using a suitable cleaner.*
- Allow the adhesive sufficient time to achieve handling strength before moving or unclamping components.
Curing Cycle
Once mixed at a 1:1 ratio, the working time of SUPEX M1157 is the period in which the adhesive remains fluid and can be easily transferred between mating surfaces. Temperature, volume and substrate all directly affect the duration of this period, as SUPEX M1157 cures via an exothermic reaction. Higher temperatures and larger volumes accelerate the reaction, reducing open and cure time. Lower temperatures and smaller volumes slow the reaction, extending both open and full cure time.

SUPEX M1157 is available in:

- 50ml, 250ml Universal, and 400ml Nylon cartridges for use with dispensing guns

Storage & Shelf Life
SUPEX M1157 should be stored unopened in suitable hazardous storage conditions for flammable adhesives – in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. When stored correctly, this product offers a shelf life of 12 months from its manufacture in the UK.
